How to Read a Research Peptide Price Table
A guide to the columns on a research peptide price table — vial size, purity, batch documentation, and price — and how they combine into a comparable figure.

A research peptide price table packs several pieces of information into one row, and reading it correctly means knowing what each column represents before comparing the numbers across listings. The price itself is only one input. Vial size, purity grade, and batch documentation all sit next to it, and skipping past any one of them turns the comparison into guesswork rather than a real read on value.
What a Price Table Is Meant to Show
A well-built price table exists to let a buyer compare listings without opening each product page individually. It condenses the details that matter — compound, quantity, price, and supporting documentation — into rows that sit side by side. The table only does its job if every row uses the same units and the same level of disclosure. A table mixing vials priced per unit with others priced per multipack, or listing purity for some rows and omitting it for others, stops being genuinely comparable no matter how neatly it is formatted.
The Columns That Matter Most
Most price tables on research sites use some version of the same core columns. Knowing what each one is meant to communicate is the first step in reading the table correctly.

The first three columns let a buyer work out a comparable rate. The last three determine how much confidence to place in that rate once it is calculated.
Vial Size Is Not the Same as Concentration
A common misread is treating the mg figure on a price table as if it describes a liquid the vial is sold ready to use. In most listings, the mg amount is the total mass of lyophilized peptide in the vial, not a concentration. Concentration only exists after bacteriostatic water is added, and it depends on how much is added:
concentration (mg/mL) = mg in vial ÷ mL of bacteriostatic water added
A price table row showing “10 mg” is describing the vial’s contents, not a dose or a strength. Two buyers who add different amounts of bacteriostatic water to the same 10 mg vial end up with different concentrations, but the vial’s listed mg amount and its listed price do not change either way.
Turning Listed Price Into a Comparable Rate
Reading a research peptide price table well means converting each row’s price and vial size into a rate that can be set against every other row. The standard conversion is cost per mg:
cost per mg = vial price ÷ mg per vial
Take a listing showing a 5 mg vial priced at $90:
$90 ÷ 5 mg = $18.00 per mg
A second row for the same compound lists a 10 mg vial at $160:
$160 ÷ 10 mg = $16.00 per mg
The second row costs more up front but works out to a lower rate per mg. A price table that only displays the raw price column, without this conversion, makes the smaller vial look like the better deal at a glance, when the larger vial is actually the more efficient purchase. This is the calculation to run on any table before drawing a conclusion from the price column alone.
Documentation Columns Are Part of the Price
A row’s purity and batch columns are not decoration. They describe what the listed price is actually buying. A price table that includes a certificate-of-analysis link next to each row, the way HEEZ Research does for its retatrutide listing, gives a reader an immediate way to check a batch’s stated purity rather than taking the printed percentage on faith. A row with an identical price and an identical mg figure but no batch number or linked documentation is not offering the same thing, even though the price and purity columns might look the same on the surface.
Reading a Table Side by Side
Laying out several rows together makes it easier to see how price, vial size, and documentation interact.

Listing C has the lowest cost per mg in the table, but it is also the row with the least documentation behind it. Listing B has a higher cost per mg than C but pairs its price with a batch number and a linked certificate of analysis. Reading the table by price alone would rank C first; reading it with the documentation columns included changes which row actually represents the more verifiable purchase. Neither reading is wrong on its own, but a price table is only being read correctly when all of its columns are weighed together instead of just the cheapest number in the row.
Common Ways Price Tables Mislead
A few patterns show up often enough to watch for. Some tables list a price per vial while quietly varying vial size row to row, which makes the price column alone useless for comparison until it is converted to a per-mg rate. Others show a purity figure without a batch number attached, which makes that figure unverifiable even though it reads as precise. And some tables present multipack pricing next to single-vial pricing without labeling which is which, which can make a multipack row look far cheaper than a single vial when it is actually priced per unit inside the pack. None of these make a table dishonest by itself, but each one is a reason to check what a column is actually measuring before comparing it against the row next to it.
