What Price per Mg Doesn't Tell You About a Peptide Listing

A price per mg number only divides listed price by labeled mg. It says nothing about purity grade, fill accuracy, or documentation behind a listing.

A price per mg number does not tell you about the purity grade, the fill accuracy, the testing method, or the documentation standing behind the compound it describes. It is a ratio of two numbers on the page — listed price divided by labeled mg — and it treats every mg as interchangeable regardless of how it was produced, tested, or verified. Two listings can show the identical price per mg and represent very different products once purity, batch testing, and fill consistency are accounted for.

What the Number Actually Measures

Cost per mg is calculated as vial price divided by the mg stated on the label:

price per mg = vial price ÷ labeled mg

That formula uses exactly two inputs, and both come from the listing itself, not from independent verification. The gap is small in this pair — about 52 cents per mg — but it moves in a consistent direction: the lower-purity listing costs more per mg of actual target compound once purity is factored in, even though the two listings display an identical price per mg on the page. A wider purity gap between two listings produces a wider gap once this adjustment is applied.

None of these change the arithmetic of price per mg. They change how much confidence a buyer can place in the two numbers that arithmetic depends on.
